Greater Chatham Strong
GCI will be hosting its annual this November. Enjoy performances from Ron DeVoe of New Edition and Shamari DeVoe of Blaque and the Real Housewives of Atlanta. Hors d’oeuvres and cocktails will be served as you participate in our “GCI Game Night” Have fun with family, friends, and neighbors, make new friends while raising money to support initiatives that benefit our Greater Chatham community.
Tickets are $100 each, and the event will be held on Tuesday, November 7th from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm at the Studio Movie Grill, 201 W. 87th Street, Chicago IL 60620. Ample parking is available in the Studio Movie Grill parking lot.

Dining on the 5
Greater Chatham Initiative, (GCI) is pleased to present our 3rd annual “Dining on the Five” Dining on the 5, 2019 will kick-off on July 5th and continue through Labor Day September 1st, 2019. Dining on the Five is filled with great food and good times, held on Chicago’s south 75th street in the heart of the Greater Chatham Business District, “Restaurant Row”, (Indiana Ave to Langley Blvd.)
Join hundreds of locals and Epicurious visitors as they descend upon Restaurant Row to sample the fare and notable establishments like Lem’s BBQ, newcomers like Flammin Restaurant and Mabe’s Deli. Dessert devotees will top off their meals with tasty treats from Brown Sugar Bakery and the 21-and-older crowd can lift their spirits at Frances’ Cocktail Lounge. As they explore the Row, your guests can drop in and discover special deals at select businesses. Outdoor tables and seating are available to dine al fresco, enjoy the festivities and meet new friends.

Kwanzaa on the 9
It’s going to be a very merry Christmas in Greater Chatham this year! Get into the spirit by taking advantage of special promotions at local businesses, seeing some of 79th Street’s businesses transformed with Kwanzaa-inspired window displays, and enjoying gospel caroling with local churches. Kids can even have their pictures taken with Black Santa and meet a few real reindeer!
Free to the public. Window displays will be up between Vernon and Eberhart, and Santa will be making an appearance. Stay tuned for more details.
