Developing Empowered Black Boys

December 12, 2019 – 11:30A – 1:30P

Gary Comer Youth Center

7200 South Ingleside Avenue

Join us as we host this necessary conversation with a dynamic group of mentors about how youth development professionals can help develop happy, self-motivated and empowered Black boys.  This session’s Lunch & Learn features some of Chicago’s most renown male mentors:

  • CHAMPS Male Mentorsing Founder – Vondale E. Singleton
  • CHAMPS Mentor Coach – Orlandus Thomas
  • Safe & Sound Founder – Anthony Townsend
  • Greater Chatham Initiative Restorative Practice Coordinator – Edgar “Faheem” Willis

Follwing the discussion, there will be a question and answer session and an opportunity to talk one-on-one with our distinguished panelists.

The Lunch & Learn is brought to you by Gary Comer Youth Center, The Coalition for Safe & Healthy Teens and family planning agency, The Cradle.

This event is free and open to the public.  For more details, contact Tyra Owens via phone 773-3588-4100, ext. 4065 or email towens@gcychome.org.
